The name
Bring light to difficult decisions.
The name Torchford brings together a torch and a ford — a place where a river can be crossed. In advisory work, that means testing assumptions, comparing options and assessing risk before resources are committed.
Recognising risk also makes justified action possible. A recommendation should show both the risks and the conditions for using an opportunity.

We define the problem, objective and decision criteria. We agree the data required, the scope of work and the form of the outcome.

We speak with the people involved in the processes and analyse the evidence. We test critical assumptions, identifying both support and information gaps.
Comparison and recommendation
We present options, their consequences and the rationale for the recommendation. We discuss risks and limitations that could change the assessment.
Delivery plan
We translate the selected option into actions, dependencies and outcome measures. Any further implementation support is agreed separately.
